The Route66 collection is a series of collector keepsake showpieces for those fond of John Steinbeck’s “Mother Road”. These items are made from actual old growth California doug fir trees. They were cut into bridge support stringers for a Route66 bridge that was dismantled by California DOT outside Amboy, California and salvaged by me in 2018. These original timbers were 30 feet long and date from when the bridge was built in the early 1930’s. Many have original hardware embedded in them and add to the patina of America on the move.
